If you love the thrill and excitement of a good card game and the anticipation of winning and making some cash with the odds in your favour, wagering on 21 is for you.

So, how can you beat the casino?

Basically when playing vingt-et-un you are watching the odds and chances of the cards in regard to:

1. What your hand is

2. What cards could come from the shoe

When gambling on blackjack there is statistically a best way to play every hand and this is referred to as basic strategy. If you add card counting that helps you determine the chances of cards being dealt from the deck, then you are able to increase your bet amount when the odds are in your favor and lower them when the edge is not.

You’re only going to win under half the hands you gamble on, so it is important that you adjust bet size when the odds are in your favor.

To do this when gambling on 21 you have to use basic strategy and card counting to succeed.

Basic tactics and counting cards

Since mathematicians and academics have been studying chemin de fer all sorts of complicated systems have been developed, including "card counting" but although the idea is complex counting cards is pretty much straightforward when you bet on 21.

If when gambling on vingt-et-un you card count reliably (even if the game uses multiple decks), you can tilt the odds to your favour.

Vingt-et-un Basic Strategy

Chemin de fer basic strategy is centralized around an uncomplicated approach of how you wager based upon the cards you are dealt and is statistically the best hand to play while not card counting. It tells you when gambling on 21 when you need to take another card or hold.

It’s extremely simple to do and is soon committed to memory and up until then you can get no charge cards on the internet

Using it when you gamble on twenty-one will bring down the casino’s edge to near to zero.

Card counting shifting the odds in your favour

Card counting works and gamblers use a card counting approach realize an advantage over the casino.

The reason this is simple.

Low cards favour the croupier in blackjack and high cards favor the player.

Low cards favor the dealer because they aid them make winning totals on her hands when she is stiff (has a twelve, thirteen, fourteen, 15, or sixteen total on his 1st two cards).

In casino twenty-one, you can hold on your stiffs if you want to, but the dealer cannot.

The dealer has no choice to make, but you do and this is your edge. The rules of playing twenty-one require that croupiers hit stiffs no matter how flush the deck is in high cards that will break them.

The high cards favour the player because they may break the house when she hits their stiffs and also blackjacks are made with aces and tens.

Though blackjacks are, equally dispensed between the croupier and the player, the fact is that the gambler gets paid more (3:2) when she receives a blackjack so the gambler has an advantage.

You don’t have to compute the data of each of the individual card in order to know when you have an edge over the croupier.

You only need to know when the deck is rich or poor in high cards and you can increase your wager when the edge is in your favor.

This is a basic account of how card-counting schemes work, but gives you an insight into how the rationale works.

When playing chemin de fer over the longer term card counting will aid in changing the edge in your favour by to around two percent.

I have played countless of rounds of chemin de fer. I started sneaking into the gambling dens when I was sixteen. I have bet on online twenty-one, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. Given all that I have still lost all kinds of bankroll at chemin de fer. The gambling halls have made it very hard to defeat the house.

I still like the game and wager on a regular basis. Over the years I have bet on a type of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get flush with this method or defeat the casino, still you will experience a lot of fun. This method is centered on the fact that vingt-et-un appears to be a match of streaks. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you are not you are NOT!

I wager with basic strategy blackjack. When I do not win I wager the table minimum on the next hand. If I do not win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the action back down to the original value.

I am very disciplined and never back out. It gets very exciting at times. If you win a few hands in a row your wagers go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had great runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a few years back with $750 after 60 minutes using this method! And a couple of months ago in Las Vegas I left a game with $1200!

You have to comprehend that you can give up a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be aghast at the runs you notice playing this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar table.

Wager 5 dollar
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the initial 5 dollar bet

Wager $5
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $10

Wager $10
Take $10 paid to you, leave the original 10 dollar wager

Wager 10 dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $20

Bet twenty dollar
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $20 bet

Wager twenty dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of forty dollar

Wager $40
Take forty dollar paid to you, leave the initial forty dollar wager

Bet forty dollar
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total bet of 80 dollar

Wager $80
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the original 80 dollar wager

Bet $80
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $160

Wager 160 dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $160 wager

If you departed at this point you would be up 3 hundred and fifteen dollars !!

It is iffy to go on a streak this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you can NOT alter and lower your bet or the final result will not be the same.
